THE IDEA
Rather than backing away, the approach was to stoke the viral attention by sending Shake Weights to the interested news and media outlets, and create a second round of Direct Marketing that capitalized on the earned media.

THE RESULT
As a result of the many laughs, tens of millions of people have discovered the product, and paid $19.95 for a great product that does solve a real need.
